IP Address Finder

This utility displays your current internet protocol (IP) address. Your IP address is a unique identifier that is assigned to your computer or router by your internet service provider (ISP). The IP address displayed is your public IP address (i.e, the one assigned by your ISP). If you connect your computer to the internet via a router, you will also have a private (internal) IP address that identifies your computer in the context of your home network. Your public IP address and associated machine name (obtained by performing a reverse DNS query on your public IP address) are available to any website you look up and could be used to uniquely identify you to any website you visit.

For added security, this page, and its contents are delivered over an encrypted SSL connection.

This is the machine name associated with your IP address that was obtained by performing a reverse DNS lookup:

The first part of your machine name is usually a unique identifier such as your IP address or account identifier. The latter part identifies your service provider and may include geographic information that pertains to you or your account.
